Bad batch maybe?

I may have come across a poor quality batch but I opened the pack, tied one, tightened and untied. Tried 4 but every time I put it on it immediately loosened. In fact, I could only analyze all 4 by hand. Thought it would be cheaper than Walmart's 5-pack, but at least it works.
