Review on πŸ‘œ Streamlined Style: Big Skinny Metro Bi Fold Wallet - Must-Have Men's Accessory by Gonzalo Marshall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well as a slim wallet and looks good

The wallet fits US bills but is short. Bills should be placed at the bottom of the bill pocket, which is shorter at the top corners where there are extra stitching for reinforcement. I would have preferred the wallet to be 1/8 inch (3mm) longer when unfolded to allow more room for bills. I was able to fit 30 fairly new US bills and 20 cards (only one of which had embossed symbols) in my wallet. and put it in his shirt pocket so the wallet wouldn't look too weird. I don't know how long a wallet will last with such a strain on the fabric and stitching. I could take cash with me on the trip, but I would leave some cards at home. To reduce the risk of pickpocketing, I carry my wallet in my shirt pocket, avoiding the wear and tear of sitting on my wallet and cards when I'm out and about. Hold more cards with less resistance without the risk of cards slipping out when the wallet is closed. Since using the wallet for a few months, the card slots don't fit as tight and the friction coating on the fabric is less sticky. Sometimes the corner of the card is momentarily tucked into the partially lined front of the pocket. The black purse looks good, better than the closeups suggest. I don't like the look of the logo patch. I used a black marker on the logo; the black pigment did not transfer to the white office shirts. I could use a seam ripper to remove the logo, but it adds a little bit of friction that can keep the wallet from slipping out of my pocket. I would like more friction on the outside of the wallet to keep it in my pocket. The logo also allows you to align the wallet to the touch. Initially, I didn't need transparent plastic windows, or at least cut out ovals. I worried about longevity; I suspect the clear plastic may tear at the ovals. However, I'm used to the convenience of seemingly confirming that my most used cards are back in my pockets. The guards in my office are willing to look at my ID while it's in my front pocket, with an extra second to examine it. The new wallet had an odor likely caused by friction lining in the pockets. The smell went away after a few months. There are many wallets on offer, but not many in this category (nylon wallets with relatively few pockets that open in a single fold). I wish this wallet had a slightly different design as I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and this comes closest to it. However, this wallet works as intended, which is why I'm rating it on that basis.
