The skirt drapes beautifully over the apple belly, like a silk curtain (not a tent), and didn't notice anything prickly, prickly or scratchy. The straps are strong and don't dig into your shoulders. You can wear the straight straps if they are (I'm lucky the adjustment is already perfect and I don't feel like the straps are slipping off my shoulders.
