Review on πŸ“Έ Hot Shoe Sync Adapter for Canon Flash with Optical Flash Slave Trigger, PC Socket & Sensor (excluding 540EZ) by Aaron Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super little gadgets that turn your old speedlites into awesome remote control flashes - highly recommend, very impressed!

Cheap, always works, and it turned all my old "dumb" flashes that weren't smart enough to communicate with modern electronic triggers into very docile and practical slave flashes. Will buy a few more of these. The only downside I could find is that the base shoe is a bit small and doesn't fit snugly when inserted into a flash holder, but it's also threaded so it works great on a light stand. The flash stays on these little plastic flash stands but they tend to slide out if you press them hard and with a really powerful flash it's not so cool when the flash falls off and hits the ground! This has only happened once, and luckily lightning struck the couch so no damage was done, but it's something you might want to fix. I made the upper the rustic way (to my shame) by wrapping a piece of tape around the bottom shoe, so they're now securely locked into the mounts! Overall they are great and I will be buying two more - there are never too many lighting options!
