I installed it on the glass part of the gas cap. Worked well, although the "white" had that blue tint that looks more psychedelic than natural or pleasing. I turned it off at night with no problems, but when I turned it on in the morning, the cheap remote didn't work and neither did the little button on the cord. Returns although I do not agree to wasting my time bringing a defective product to the returns desk.
