I bought this in a LARGE (42" x 12" x 12") cover to replace my foldable crib which was a bit worn out after a year (cot size 41 x 9" x 7"). It was narrow lengthwise, but I was able to attach two grommets at the top. I had enough room to save on width. CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS - I was impressed with the thickness of the fabric and the quality of the stitching and Grommets.The only point of failure I can foresee is the clip at the top.If there is a way to lock the top a large lock I haven't figured out yet but a TSA lock would probably work.Glad there is one shoulder strap as well as a side handle.SIZE - 42" x 12" x 12" very generous. I think you could fit the amount of clothes almost in the form of a 36" duffel bag. Not that wide but a bit long he. Perfect for a student or a (very deep) laundry bag. It comes in 50" x 14.5" x 14.5", but that size can be a little bulky. I'm 5'10" and the 42" version was way too big for me.
