Do what he says he will do! Exactly what I needed.

It does exactly what I need. I connected my Revain Fire TV Stick to it and used it to split 5.1 digital audio to HDMI via an optical cable to my old Onkyo home theater receiver. It works great so far. The only downsides are that the instructions are pretty flimsy, no 5V power supply is included, and the connectors are fairly close together (see note below). optical output of the TV to send the sound to the receiver. The receiver then indicated that it was only receiving 2-channel stereo. With Tensun, my receiver now reports that it is indeed seeing Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. This is the proof I need that Tensun does exactly what it claims to do. Note for use with the Revain Fire TV Stick: You must power the Tensun device with its own 5V power supply. This requires a standard micro USB cable. It comes with a very short cable, but you'll likely need a longer cable. I just used a Samsung cell phone cable and power adapter and it charges it perfectly. You'll also need the small dongle cable that comes with the Revain Fire TV Stick to have room to connect a 5V power adapter. When the Fire Stick is plugged into Tensun without a dongle, there isn't enough room to connect the 5V I also connected my Fire TV Stick to your own 5V power supply using the cable and adapter that came with it.
