BEST ARTLINER FOR ZENTANGLE AND BULLET JOURNALING

I've been using Staedtler Pigment Liners for a few years now. They are by far my favorite art liner. If I want to draw a little, zentangle, or write in my bullet journal, I'm drawn to it. I think they are far superior to the Sakura Micron pens in both nib quality, ink consumption and the quality of the pen material for the smaller black millimeter pens. The tips are very strong and work on a variety of papers without snagging. The ink runs out long before the tips wear out. I get many miles from these pens. There is no scratchy or sticky feeling on my magazine paper (Pentallic) or many art papers and markers. The metal bodies of the tips are perfect for drawing lines, which I often do in my journal. The metal part is long enough to be used with most rulers, but not too long to bend or create an awkward space to the side. The barrel justifies the cost of these buttons - not too thin or thick, smooth but not slippery. The plastic body has a light texture that runs the full length of the pen, minimizing slippage and allowing for a secure grip. The caps fit very well, not once did you get in the way and didn't fall off. Clips wear out over time, but that's not critical to me. The case that this set comes in is quite handy. My only wish is that they make a brush tip and a 0.03 tip for my very thin, usually small, line art. If they made them in different colors I would have the whole stock.

Pros
  • Lightfast, streak-free, waterproof ink
Cons
  • So far, so good
