This stand is very well designed and built. All the details fit together perfectly. The base is made from a thick steel plate, unlike traditional coasters that use dangerously poorly tempered glass bases. You get what you pay for, so don't skimp on installing a new big screen. I bought (and returned) one of the bad glass coasters. It was Perlesmith, but they're all pretty much the same. Luckily I had help lifting the TV onto the stand only to rip the welds where the stand meets the base. We caught the TV before it hit the floor. What a piece of shit.
