I've had it for a week, so I can't fully comment on its durability, but it looks like everything will be fine. The only area where I doubt durability is the eye hole at the end. I plug it into something, turn it on and off all day, wondering if it will break over time. I bought this primarily to have a better grip on the Apple Pencil because it's so smooth. It's so slippery and all that it fell out of your hands. This stops it. I was concerned that this sleeve would be uncomfortable with its pointy handles, but it isn't. In order to charge it you have to make sure you position it correctly on the iPad Pro and I have to make sure it holds well as it reduces the magnetic ability of this case. But overall I'm very glad I have it. The color is more visible, it's easier to hold on to, it has a wider grip that's more natural, it has a gap so I can hang it on something, and it's worth the price. It's a shame to spend so much money on a pencil and then spend even more to make it manageable, but this is the Apple for you. When you're spending that much money on a pencil, it's worth spending a little more to make sure it's safe. Another thing worth noting, I wanted to put a label on it that I printed on a Brother printer that wouldn't stick to the plastic. Maybe a different label or other identifying information will suffice.
