Review on Barber Razor with Stainless Steel Straight Edge and 5 Stainless Blades by Kimberly Thomas

This is my first razor. I have to go through a lot of blades before it becomes as expensive as a fixed blade straight razor. It's quick and easy - no smoothing or sharpening. It also seems difficult to cut yourself, with the blade protruding just a millimeter from the mount. I have been shaving for a few months, first with a straightedge and then with the last pass of the Merkur DE. Every time DE shoots less my technique seems to improve. I'm hoping to eventually ditch DE altogether, but there's a tricky cut (left-to-right, on the neck) that I couldn't do well with a razor. Overall, this is a solid, lightweight razor at a good price.
