Review on Ultra 1080P Monitor Sceptre E248W-1920R with 60Hz Refresh Rate, Flicker-Free Technology, and Tilt Adjustment by Ronald Weincouff

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slim, thin, light, bright and inexpensive! What else would you like?

So the price and size of this 1080p monitor drew me in, and after about a month of heavy use, I highly recommend it to gamers, graphic designers, and just about anyone looking for a new monitor. It replaced my old 22 inch Dell LCD monitor which has been a real soldier to me for the last 10+ years and fought hard to the end (RIP). One thing you will notice is how light and thin this monitor is and that it requires little assembly as it comes with all the necessary tools (a big plus). It generates almost no heat (my previous one was like a second heater in my room). Running through some graphics tests and color calibration specs shows it may not be perfect, but it's hard to say unless you REALLY do a head-to-head comparison. I also recommend upgrading your graphics card if you're in the market or considering a switch. Fonts are clear. The factory settings for Clarity, Brightness, Black & White Contrast and RGB Level settings were perfectly matched and I didn't need to calibrate them at all. Played multiple games (COD,LOL,DA) and watched Blue Ray movies and NFL games with no issues. So far I am completely satisfied and can only recommend this monitor! Now for the endurance test! Edit: downgraded to four stars. If you have this monitor in your bedroom, please turn it off, otherwise this bright blue LCD light will blink and be very annoying when you are trying to sleep at night.
