Purchased to power Polk speakers in our bathroom. Tried them out first on an old pair of Aiwa speakers in the garage and couldn't believe how well this thing worked. Then I plugged it into the bathroom speaker and it worked like a champ again. The only downside is that it worked so well that I went out and bought a couple of outdoor speakers and had to buy a second unit to power them. It's going to be expensive. If you're old school and have one of those tower speakers, this is all you need to get them playing music. No need for stereo stacks from the 80's and 90's. At first I was a bit confused about the power supply of the device when I bought it. It doesn't come with a charger, but chances are you have one at home that works.
