I bought this for a Sandisk 500GB SSD. The device fits perfectly in this case, which also includes a short USB connection cable. The inside of the case is soft, and the device is protected from contact with the cable by a soft valve. The device is simply removed from the socket in the case. An SSD is a very thin device, but its rugged casing is about five times thicker. I preferred protection over space.
