I didn't have a remote specifically for the TV and other remotes control it except for the settings panel which I couldn't even access on the TV. The remote works and I've solved a few problems with my TV, except the menu button on the TV still doesn't respond and the TV still turns off even though the timer isn't on. On average I can't complain; It was cheap and it saved me from hopping to the TV every two hours to turn it back on and clear the defaults...
