One of my dogs is scared to death of thunder and we've had quite a few thunderstorms lately so I wanted to try something like this hoping it would give her a chance of some calm during a storm . I was able to get it just before the last storm so this was the perfect opportunity to try it. Even before I heard the thunder, it was obvious she was doing it because she was running around the house in fear trying to find a place where she felt safer and just sat there and shivered. As soon as this happened I put this little suit on her and the results were immediately visible. She was no longer shaking or running around trying to hide. The only time the Thunder worked was when it was close enough for the car alarm to go off, but that startled everyone. The rumble of thunder in the distance definitely didn't affect her the way it did before she put the costume on. I'm not sure how well this would work as a post-surgery alternative to the Kegel as I haven't tried it, but I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to relieve their dogs' stress caused by loud noises. Just make sure you get the right size because it has to be tight or it probably won't work that well.
