Review on Swannies Blocking Computer Glasses Orange by James Cross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing blue blocking skills.

Just received my glasses and passed two stress tests. First, I would like to say that they exceeded my expectations for blue light blocking. One of the tests was done in my reef tank using a full spectrum LED Radion XR15w PRO light. It contains 4x blue CREE, 4x deep blue OSRAM, 4x cool white CREE and 9 other green to indigo UV LED lamps. After testing the full power of blue, dark blue, and indigo UV light, these goggles filtered out almost all, if not all, blue light. Very impressive. From the photos provided, a shot was taken with the iPhone 6s' new 12-megapixel camera (no filter) pointing directly at the aquarium. Very blue. In another shot of the aquarium, Swannie's lens is in close-up, obscuring the camera during the shot. There is no blue. This light setting provides maximum "morning sun" for rapid coral growth. The second test involved shining a 200 lumen LED flashlight directly at the lens to test its ability to block blue light. It reflected all the blue and associated light onto the wall (see photo). I tested my $200 Ray Ban P sunglasses and you can see the results weren't close. I'm a computer person for creating deals, PC games (graphic intensive - CounterStrike and WoW), creating marketing materials in Photoshop and reading ESPN combined. with a Sony XBR Ultra HD TV watching Inside Out and such with my wife and young boys. Don't forget the last minute to catch up on Instagram, FB, latest fantasy football lineups and 10am news while you're in bed. My life, like many others, usually moves at a fast pace and my sleep is very important, especially for those who use the Cpap device to treat sleep apnea. The amber lenses on these goggles offer the protection I need without compromising my vision. I didn't like the regular yellow/blue goggles as they didn't offer much blue protection. After testing these glasses I am confident that my body will start producing melotonin on a regular basis and hopefully they will take care of my headaches as well. From what I've gathered so far I give these glasses two very big thumbs up for their ability to block blue light without interfering with vision and a plus for style. Sleep is vital and worth those points. I have nothing to do with this company and I paid full price. I'm just a concerned parent adjusting to a new lifestyle while technology tries to solve this growing new problem.
