Too many non-food particles. I need to add water and make it liquid for one of my cats. At the same time, small black spots of different sizes appeared in each portion. Upon closer inspection, the stains revealed a permanent raised pattern, suggesting it was an industrial product and not something naturally occurring in any of the ingredients. My personal opinion is that these are rubber/plastic parts on conveyor belts. Looks like a thick shelf liner material. This was observed over several months, for about a year, as I fed my cats. I switched to Sheba and can't find anything in it. Friskies are cheap for a reason. Quality control is not important.
