TL;DR: These hair clips go well with my thick shoulder length hair. I don't think they fit waist length hair. My hair falls slightly past my shoulders and ranges from wavy to wavy (and by curly I mean patchy curly). When my hair was loose and wavy these clips held my hair in place with no problem. No headaches, no hair loss and only a few strands of hair fell out during the day. If I wash my hair and let it air dry overnight, it becomes curly and much thicker than when it's combed and relaxed. However, these clips held my hair in place! More strands seemed to fall out when the hair was curly than when it was wavy, but my hair is difficult to manage in this state, so I'm not surprised. My mom's hair is very curly and thick and they kept her hair in place well too. She said she even reclined on the couch with a bobby pin in her hair and only had to tweak it a little to feel comfortable. ADVANTAGES: - Flat prongs prevent the head from going in. - There are many beautiful colors to choose from, including neutral colors like black and white. - They kept my thick hair in place all day. - They are so light I forgot to even wear them. CONS: - They may be too small for those with incredibly long hair. Hair. They are about 4 inches long and open to a gap of about 2 inches. They smell awful when you open the box, but the smell goes away once you let it air out.
