Some reviewers noted that the inner lining tends to separate from the outer lining, making it difficult to wear. We didn't have that. It is true that the inner lining is not connected to the other; So the trick is to put your hand inside the inner liner and then pull the outer liner (wool outer piece) towards your wrist. The outer lining sits perfectly. We tried to figure it out on day one but we were hooked from day 2. The rope was annoying and I worried there might be a noose around her neck. So I cut them off. My 8 year old and 6 year old used the same size comfortably. Very warm. And that's the best. Mittens that really warm children's hands. Highly recommended.
