They were very easy to install. You simply install the base ring and snap it into place with a wire clip that holds the old bulb in place. Then insert the new bulb into the base ring and twist to lock in place. The first thing that struck me about these lamps was that the low beams illuminated the road much further. At first I was concerned that they might be too bright for oncoming traffic, but I've never had an instance where someone pointed their headlights at me thinking my headlights were on high beam or too bright. In fact, you can see that the The upper quadrant gets quite dark when you turn on the high beams, but the road itself remains very well lit. I also like that they are white rather than bluish. These lamps are well packaged and have a quality construction. I was very happy with this purchase.
