I've been a nurse for 30 years and these are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've ever had! 5 years ago I had major surgery on my left foot because the posterior tibial tendon was partially torn. The heel had to be surgically "broken" and repaired to be properly aligned, then the torn tendon had to be replaced with a non-essential tendon from another part of the foot. The recovery took months. I think this condition could have been avoided by wearing such shoes. I've worn Crocs and trainers for most of my career. If I had had the proper arch support and fit that the Alegria shoes offer me, I could not have endured all of the pain that I faced before and especially after the surgery. I get a lot of compliments from colleagues and even patients because this style and pattern is so amazing!
