So I figured that if he lives in the Northeast with a twist he'd need a jacket for short walks and hikes. I bought these after buying some others that didn't fit or were too difficult to put on. With this jacket, I just leave the velcro attached at the neck, put it on Toby's head and fasten the velcro on his stomach. We used it regularly for about 2 months and it has held up great even after several washes. Now it has outgrown the size I originally bought and at 5 months I now buy XL. Great jacket for the price. I also understand that all dogs walk differently depending on their size - I have to go up a size due to back length - the velcro is by no means too small.
