If just a long USB cable can get the job done, then it does the job
Long USB cables help me connect my TV to a Bluetooth wireless transceiver and my old audio system . It's also very convenient for charging my wife's cell phone by the bed, as the socket with adapter is behind the bed. In both cases, a long cable is the only way out. Otherwise there aren't many options. The connectors on both ends are of high quality and have never had any problems.
