Review on 🎧 SAMSUNG USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter for Note10 and Note10+ (EE-UC10JUWEGUS) - US Version with Warranty by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy S21+ - too bad it's not needed!

This genuine Samsung USB-C to 3.5mm adapter just works. It delivers good sound and I can use all my wired headphones again with my new Samsung Galaxy S21+. I see many taking a star off their rating because they are disappointed with Samsung (either because they removed the 3.5mm jack or because they just didn't ship that adapter with their new, very expensive, flagship phones . ). Although I am also disappointed, I am not deducting a star from this product as it works perfectly. If you want to use good quality wired headphones on your new Samsung phone, this is the product that you need. I tried several generic alternatives before purchasing this Samsung adapter that I will list below. Unfortunately, none of them worked properly when using headphones or headphones with a microphone to make calls. Everyone I've tried calling with these universal adapters has reported a buzz, buzz, or other audio error (I didn't hear any glitches on my end - it was just the other end). However, I didn't return generics because they're still only useful for listening (and I can place them strategically so I don't carry an adapter around with me everywhere). If you just need a cheap adapter to listen to music, podcasts, TikTok videos, etc., the following adapter may be suitable for you (but note that it is only $3 cheaper than this Samsung product): 3.5mm USB-C Headphone Adapter, ACAGET USB Type-C Dongle Audio Jack Converter . The next option is a few bucks more expensive than this Samsung product, but allows charging while listening: USB-C to 3.5mm headphone and charging adapter, Sniokco 2-in-1 Type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter and 30W fast charge . . This genuine Samsung product does not exhibit the audio deficiencies on phone calls that the two generic offerings above exhibit. Basically, this Samsung product gets full 5 stars, but the Samsung customer service does not! If you are already looking for new wired headphones and want to go straight to the USB-C set that does not require an adapter, I recommend the original Samsung brand: SAMSUNG EO-IC100BBEGUS Type-C Wired Headphones. Based on some reviews make sure you buy from Revain. to avoid counterfeiting. I bought and tested them and they work fine. Of course they can ONLY be used on my Samsung phone and NONE of my many other devices. Not to mention that every previous flagship phone I've bought from Samsung included a good pair of headphones, but not the Samsung Galaxy S21! I couldn't find any wired headphones with a USB-C connector. To the dissatisfaction of Samsung customers. I feel the need to rant since I didn't deduct any stars. For years, Samsung ads mocked Apple for getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung then made a decidedly weak move by quietly removing those displays and following Apple's example by ridding its flagship phones of 3.5mm jacks. None of Samsung's loyal customers wanted this headphone jack removal. Bluetooth isn't for everyone and many of us already have a selection of good headphones and earphones that are now (for phone use) useless. The move is more of a cost-saving measure (for Samsung, not its customers) than an innovation; It might even be an "Apple" push to get customers to switch to Samsung's pricey Bluetooth headphone options. Removing the analog jack brought no noticeable improvement in form, fit, or functionality. For example, the IP68 dust and water rating of the latest Samsung Galaxy S21 (no headphone jack) is unchanged from my much older Samsung Galaxy S8 (with headphone jack). Is Samsung Easier to Design? Yes. Produce cheaper for Samsung? Yes. Satisfies the needs and desires of Samsung customers? no Cheaper for a Samsung buyer? no not their customers) more than innovation; It might even be an "Apple" push to get customers to switch to Samsung's pricey Bluetooth headphone options.
