I usually use 24 hour or all day lasting lip glosses with a built in top coat so I was skeptical about the one step option. It remains very good for the most part. I am of worldly color and this is the perfect nude for me. I have olive skin with a slight tan from running in the sun lately and it's enough to add some color without overdoing it. It smudges at first, but after it dries (it may take a while to dry), it's quite nice. I usually just apply it liberally, let it dry for a bit and purposefully wipe away anything that comes off. I tested on my hand how well it held up next to one of the heavily pigmented matte brands and while it didn't last as long as this one, it lasted almost a day between showers and hand washing. I got this on sale for less than $3, but I'd say it's worth the full $7-8 price tag.
