Review on Converter Adapter Splitter Detection Embedder by James Nedumaran

I have ordered 2 of these devices. Unfortunately, after the return period had expired, I found that they did not meet the specified specifications. One of the two devices is NOT running at 60 fps. Testing: I connected a Blackmagic URSA 12k SDI to a converter, HDMI out of the box to an Atomos Assassin. I can see the frame rate the camera is sending and I can see the frame rate Atomos is receiving. Both boxes work at 30 fps. At 60 fps, a window sometimes gets a moment before scan lines appear, the image freezes, then turns black or remains frozen on screen. My guess is that the converter chipset is barely capable of handling 60fps, meaning this device can be used at 30fps on a regular basis. But do you really want it in your signal stream? It was too difficult for me to keep in touch with anything that would ruin the show. Now I only use it for my own monitor when I need an extra monitor for myself as I really can't use it for anything else.
