I bought a dozen earbuds for my Sony WH-1000XM3 and M4 and none of them protect the ear cups from sweat when I exercise. STILL, I tried these silicone cases from Wicked Cushions. You don't lick sweat! Maybe they reduce the noise canceling effect a bit, but they keep my headphones dry! The only downside is that they rarely slip off the cup due to the slanted angle of the 1000X plastic cup, which is also very smooth. Perhaps Wicked Cushions could lengthen the edge of the ear cups a bit (to prevent the foam from shrinking) and tilt them inwards, or add some non-slip material to the edge of the very slippery silicone.
