I recently had to replace my 23 year old Infinity Reference 60. I needed a place, my wife was never particularly happy with her size. After reading several reviews I decided to order the Definitive Technology ProMonitor 800 including ProStand. I originally looked at the 1000 version but Revain doesn't ship it to Australia. In any case, while they certainly don't measure up to my old US Made Infinity, they're good, very good. Not sure if it's because I'm older (on par with my Infinitys) but I think they sound great for movies and music. Of course I had to buy a new subwoofer, unfortunately not Definitive Technology as I couldn't find a cheap 240V subwoofer. I noticed that Definitive Technology speakers can be bought in Australia but (as is often the case) at a grossly inflated price. In any case, I am very satisfied with the speakers and can recommend them without hesitation. However, one day I want to compare them with thousands. simply interesting :-).
