Holds iPad or Surface well. However, inserting and tightening the stem makes it wobbly and prone to falling off during use. Not easy to use when fully extended without falling off. Use the shorter one to stay away from it but bought it for its height. Not a good, durable product for filming, especially on the road - a gust of wind and down. Sorry I don't recommend it, even for such a price it's hard to justify.
