I bought this light as a fill light while recording my son's YouTube video. I have a really amazing key light but I needed a different light to get rid of the shadows on his face. I chose this one because of the built in softbox screen and couldn't be happier! I could adjust the temperature of the light to match my key light, I could dim the light so it wasn't too strong, and the battery indicator didn't move for an hour when I was shooting. (Mine came with a rechargeable battery). It comes with a tripod adapter so you can take an extra tripod with you if you don't already have one. I put mine on a bookshelf and it worked perfectly.
