I use it to cover the inside of my porch as it's the cheapest way to insulate my porch to install air conditioning and it works fantastic. However, it is understood that looking through plastic is like looking into the sea without a mask, but it is not white, as I have seen in some reviews and someone has asked if it is fireproof, and in my 50 years of life I never have knew plastic it's supposed to be flame retardant so no I would say it's not flame retardant
