Review on Ancor 220011 Heat Shrink Connector by David Bott

I expected better from Ancor; Your products are the only way to connect a sea boat. But these heat shrink connectors just don't meet the standards set for regular Ancor connectors. In particular, the metal section inside is TOO SHORT to get a decent crimp. I don't understand why they aren't as long as regular ones, but they don't work well at all. I have had many failed crimps in my experience despite having the right tools and a lot of experience. Also, the 2:1 shrink material has to actually be 3:1 to ensure the wire is actually sealed, that's the whole point. I'll be gluing 3:1 heat shrink tubing over all of my regular butt joints.
