This makeup mirror with light is not adjustable. There are only two temperatures. Cool white and warm light with a yellowish tint. You can use one or the other with a touch of your finger. No fade. A little disappointed with it. Cool white is good and provides good lighting, but at the same time it would be nice to be able to increase or decrease the light. For the price you should be able to do that. Power and control are selected by touching the underside of the mirror with your finger. This needs to be connected to a power source and comes with a power adapter. The mirror itself is beautiful, the frame and base are solid and durable.
