Difficult to set up but once you see the quality

Wireless base, no speakers. But that was fine for my setup as I placed my speakers behind the couch where the cables to each speaker weren't visible. The management is absolutely terrible. Here are the keys to get these speakers working thanks to lots of Google searches. 1) Do not fully insert the speaker cords. The metal part should touch the clip. I learned it the hard way. It's very frustrating that they don't mention this in the instructions. 2) Turn off the Samsung Soundbar, then press the up arrow button for 5 seconds to switch to LINK mode. I have a Samsung HW-N550 soundbar, but I've read that others require other Samsung soundbars to have to press and hold the mute button. According to the manual, you should press the volume up button, but that doesn't work for me. Once you see the LINK mode on the LED display, the device should be paired with the rear wireless speakers. 3) After pairing, you will most likely find that the volume is too low. To set it up, press the SOUND SETTINGS button, which looks like a gear on my remote. Press the button until REAR SPEAKERS appears, then wait! After showing it to you it will say REAR SPEAKER VOLUME. WAITING! then a number (usually zero) will appear, use the UP arrow to increase the volume to the desired level (0-6). I found 4 to be optimal as you don't want the rear speaker to be louder than the main system. I give the HW-N550 soundbar five stars and these rear speakers four. I think they could be better, but for the money, it's totally worth the upgrade for true surround sound.
