High quality but painful for prolonged wear

I think these headphones are amazing in terms of sound quality, noise cancellation and material. My biggest complaint about them and the reason I stopped using them was simply that they were painful for long periods of time. I've had numerous headsets and these are by far the most painful to wear for long periods of time. If you plan on wearing them for just an hour or two a day I think it will be bearable but after 3 it really hurts.
