I was skeptical but my expectations were far exceeded. The way I carry the weight in my stomach I could NEVER wear a belt. I like being able to wear it like a regular belt with an O-ring or attach it to the belt loops. Even with the ring, it's not visible under my thinnest blouse. With a pear shape, it's difficult to find pants that fit around the waist and I've forgotten what it's like to not pull my pants up all the time. It feels solid and well made, especially for the price. To be honest I think the belt loops come loose before the belt wears out so I use an o-ring.
