I'm short and use a 4 inch exercise stool when cooking. I bought the white to cover the edge of a dark colored stool so I wouldn't trip over it when walking back and forth between the island, stove, etc. This tape peels off without leaving a sticky substance. When the tape on my kitchen chair gets dirty, I just put on new tape, and there's a lot of tape on that roll. I also hung the strips on the edge of the three steps in my hallway so I can see them at night. This tape isn't reflective, but it's bright white and does the job. I think my cat needs a back strip because I trip over it haha.
