good size, not too big and not small, straps are very comfortable. I love the colors, they are BRIGHT AND RIGHT TO ADD (my photos are dark because my house is poorly lit, but I promise you it looks like an add). It's spacious, you can fit up to three textbooks I think. Not that it matters, but I'm a guy and I like that the colors of the backpack don't clash with my everyday clothes, in case that bothers you. Overall I love this bag.
