My classic Sansui tuner and custom soundbar look great on it. This kit is probably not a beginner project - more of an intermediate level project. If you've never assembled furniture this way before, proceed slowly, carefully, and thoroughly. I probably put together over a dozen different sets, but I still went slow and assembled the pieces for each step in a nice workspace with the right tools. I worked slowly and methodically, even letting the glue steps dry overnight before continuing. I wanted to increase the height by 5 inches so I bought replacement feet (do it yourself project). The biggest mistake you can make on a project like this is rushing things. I am very satisfied with the result.
