Solid unit best in cable reels

I have had several reels of this type from the $35 Craftsman to the $100 and 60ft Northern Tool. Considering I've only had it for a few days: - If you spend any time in the garage or workshop at all you're crazy if you don't have a device like this. The utility is very, very high provided you don't mount it somewhere stupid like I did on my first one and not be able to use it when the garage door is open. - This item is sturdy and beautifully built. Looks good too. Cheap devices are 100% a waste of money and even higher quality versions of Northern Tool have not been trouble free for me. The thing is, this seems to be the kind of product you can't skimp on. I'm a little skeptical about the breaker rating to wire gauge ratio, which some other reviewers seem to be inclined towards. It's a 12 gauge winding that's tightly wound in a very small space, and none of us are actually going to follow the manufacturer's directions and pull the full 40 feet out of the coil every time we use it so it heats efficiently can radiate. 15 amps seems reasonable to me - until it blows something in the middle of it for the first time. Finally, I spent the extra money for the extra performance. Just take a look. - Comes with a pair of screws and a pair of anchor bolts for installation. - Some negative reviews have been crumpled along the length of the cord hanging from the reel. It's regulated guys.
