DON'T BE AFRAID OF THESE BRIGHT COLOURS!

OMG! I love love love this set! I looked at the Jewel pattern for several weeks before taking the plunge. It's way more dramatic than my usual setup. I'm so glad I did. The actual colors in the printout are slightly faded, almost faded or dusty. My old camel sheets, my new pink and dark green sheets look great with them, making it easy to change the color temperature of a room. (The bedroom furniture is aged, aged white. I'll try to find sheer fabrics in all the colors of the rainbow to match the windows.) The quilt's design is printed onto the fabric, which is stitched to the top with a wave pattern. Here are my color descriptions: The base of the quilt is scarlet (slightly orange-red); Imprint - scarlet, teal, fuchsia, pale orange-gold, dusty orange, kelly (yellow-green), dusty lime or sour apple green, dusty pink, lilac, pale tan, deep tan. Scalloped Stitches - Turquoise I wanted to wear turquoise and red throughout my home and this fabric really ties it all together. The five-piece set includes decorative pillows that I use in the living room. I haven't washed any of the pieces yet, so I can't comment on durability. The fabric is what you would expect from an inexpensive imported blanket. I don't think I would put him in a high abuse situation. (I try to be gentle with my quilts. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle and tumble dry low, line dry.) UPDATE 12/2018 I still love this comforter. Yes, it's faded slightly after at least a dozen washes, and some threads are sticking out from a new dog burrowing under the covers at every opportunity, but still my favorite. I actually bought another one this summer (just a blanket) "just in case". I change sheets/fleece duvets to teal, pink and purple. UPDATE 10/2020 Still in love. Just put a "new" blanket on my bed permanently.
