I avoid cheap laptop and desktop replacement cables but the official ones from Dell were too expensive and I was honestly surprised by this cable. It's been almost a year since I bought it and it hasn't had any issues even when I've mishandled it. I tend to leave my laptop connected to the network for several hours. I use it as a portable desktop rather than a real laptop intended to charge my laptop for hours per session under load. I use it this way almost every other day and while it gets hot (not that it's a fault of this product, all units including the original unit get hot when talking about power) it never fails. Even if the PSU is wrapped in some kind of blanket and basically insulates all that heat. I put a lot of effort into this thing and it performed better than I expected. Still using it after a year. The physical dimensions appear to be about the same as the official ones and the same length.
