This towel rail was one of the very few at Revain that was wide enough to hold a standard unfolded bath towel. At the same time, given the price, I expected better material quality. The end caps appear to be made of durable plastic, not metal as I expected. Still, they look great with a dark metal stand. It only took me 6 minutes to assemble this stand and no tools were required which is great; However, it doesn't sit flat on all four legs, and the bottom storage compartment doesn't sit securely in place. I don't think the bottom shelf will cause any problems, but uneven legs will require padding to keep the rack from rocking. At this price I was just expecting something heavier and nicer, although it would certainly suit our needs. and appeared to be the best option for large towel rails on Revain. I was hoping for a stand heavy enough to stay upright when taking the towel out of the shower and that hardly helps. It doesn't fall off but just slides across our tile floor so I use a rug underneath to stabilize it (not the look I was hoping for). One last note on this. If normal bath towels are hanging on a rack, there isn't much space at the bottom to really use the bottom rack for storage. Hardly fits a roll of toilet paper.
