Belt attachment not so secure

I just bought this belt because I wanted the belt to match a vintage picnic dress I recently bought from Revain and to be honest this dress just screamed the red belt that was combined with it. At the top of the lungs. One of the things I noticed about this belt, which fits me as I expected (and the clasp works fine) is that there is only one straight red thread stitching that holds the belt attachment to the belt. The black stitching shown in the picture is used to keep the ends of the belt's elastic fabric from fraying, it is not part of the closure stitching. A single straight stitch is not a very secure fastener for an elastic product that can stretch a little, and therefore there is a lot of pressure on a single stitch (the effort would be better spread over several rows of stitches). which would be more reliable) if I stretch the elastic even slightly, the fabric is already showing signs of tension and stretching. So I'll probably add that. 6 weeks or so. So it won't be used extensively, but if you plan on wearing it more often, it's worth considering. And I also recommend that you be very honest between yourself and the measuring tape before ordering so that you order the size that works best for the area of your stomach where you intend to wear it. Because if you get a size that doesn't technically fit your measurements, but can still be adjusted to fit your fit, that piece with so few seams will wear out faster. But if you are the right size and be careful with it or reinforce it if you wear it a lot, I think it will fit.
