This product was originally billed as a great camera that offers users without a paid premium monthly plan many free features that provide users with additional benefits. . I bought three of these cameras two years ago, two are now broken and the third works great, but now the company has reduced the free plan to useless with a bait and switch tactic! He's supposed to "learn" about false alarms from pets when videos are tagged as pets, but hasn't learned anything in two years. I was still grateful to the service even though it incorrectly informed me about pet movements more than 20 times a day, which it had not learned after thousands of tagging of those movements. Now the company has unilaterally decided to make the camera useless without a paid membership other than live streaming. I can no longer watch people walking dogs interact with my dog for 10 minutes when she's in my house, although I still get over 20 false alarms a day when my pet is moving or sitting or the Sun is rising, although I could go ahead and enjoy the originally promised free experience for only $120 a year. In the past I have praised the concept of this company and urged others to buy this product, also with the false promise of a "learning" algorithm! Now it's just a worthless $200 paperweight, along with non-working $400 cameras and a horrifically performing bait and switch company that had plenty of potential for line-cutting millennials. If you are looking to pay monthly for security cameras, it is highly recommended that you turn to companies that will install, maintain, and upgrade your system for a monthly fee. Canary sold me with their now-false promise of expensive hardware purchases, do-it-yourself installs, and tons of monitoring features at no extra cost. A year later, they actually increased the number of services available to free users by storing videos longer on their server at no additional cost. Two years later, they removed almost everything that was useful for a free user and used the old bait. They would have a 5 star rating even if 2 cameras out of 3 stopped working after 2 years ($500 investment) but now the last camera is useless except for live streaming.
