I assembled it myself very easily, usually my husband does it. All hardware was in stock and registered. The drill holes matched exactly. I hand-tightened using the supplied Allen wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. Then, once it was assembled, I tightened it to our cordless drill with a wrench and screwdriver bits. The packaging is sturdy so the contents of the box have not been damaged. Every detail was packed so that there were no dents or scratches. These stools are very, very comfortable and look expensive. They were purchased as extra seating on our kitchen island. They're just the right height - 24 inches - with our other upright chairs. PERFECT! (Plus, they arrived three days after I ordered them, even during the holiday shipping times.)
