My favorite armchair for watching TV and reading doesn't have a bedside table next to it. I improvise where to put drinks, remote controls, Putting down phones/tablets etc - sometimes I put a tray on the ottoman - but I never seem to have learned my lesson But I refused to move the chair or whatever of complicating the space, not even a small one. The biggest table. Now I have nothing to fear. Comfortable, compact, durable, well constructed, charming tray that comes in two colors and I ordered the lightest color that really goes with my pine furniture. Personally, an octagon works best for me, rather than a round table, which is slightly smaller, takes up more seating space, and is much easier to place (more) corner items on. The two sides are attached to strong springs that fit snugly (not too tight) on either side of the armrest. The only thing that could be added, and I will add by myself, is some padding on the horizontal part of the armrest that rests against the furniture. I don't want any pressure points in my padded armrests. The spring force ensures the stability of the tray and a secure vertical hold. WARNING: Carefully remove the tray by grasping the spring arms on either side, otherwise it will snap and hurt your hands just lifting it! I won't make that mistake again. The table is well built, color matches my furniture and holds FOREVAH. This spring never wears out. I move the tray from armrest to armrest as needed and with my hands clasped under the tray it can be used as a regular tray on the table or on my ottoman. I LOVE THIS THING SO MUCH. It also lasts a little. I put a drink, remote controls and a phone on it, leaving enough space. AS A BONUS, THE KIT COMES WITH A RUBBER STAND THAT CLAMPS TO THE SURFACE OF THE TABLE AND PROVIDES THE DRINK SLIDE. I've left ice cold drinks on it all day - NO COASTERS OR WATERMARKS. And in case you didn't know, bamboo is incredibly durable. I happened to see the tray at Revain but it's a commodity that still looks cute and I'll be using it EVERY DAY. Undoubtedly one of my most awaited orders and it suits me perfectly.
