I didn't buy this for my dog. I have a small dog and she is smart so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts using her without training but I bought her to train myself. I struggled to find a way to remind myself to turn off the burglar alarm before opening the patio door in the morning or in the middle of the night. I've tried signs, different things on the doorknob, and I just kept lighting them up. I came across this and it works great. I hang it on my door lock so it rings in the middle of the night when I go to open the door and reminds me to turn off the alarm before I open the doorknob. I got the brown leather with silver bells and it looks really nice with my brown leather furniture and is perfect for what I was hoping for. I was glad to find something for that purpose and I know my neighbors are glad my alarm didn't wake them up. I can't confirm that he trains dogs, but he is a good human trainer.
