Pretty color but quite thin

The yellow blanket is beautiful. But the fabric is quite thin. I was hoping it would get a little thicker/firmer after washing. Not only did it not get thicker, but the pile that separated from it was awful! During the light cycle and low temps, I still had to clean the dryer vent TWICE. Both times it was completely full. There will likely be a nice thin layer between the sheets and the quilt. But I wouldn't expect there to be much heat.

MACHINE WASH COLD, ORIGINAL AND SEPARATELY. DO NOT BLEACH. DRY MACHINE LOW, REMOVE IMMEDIATELY. IRON ON A WARM TEMPERATURE. IF THE WASHER OR DRYER DOES NOT HAVE FREE MOVEMENT, USE A LARGE CAPACITY COMMERCIAL WASHER.
